British Food and Drink Brands Target Japan for Exports at Foodex 2019

As the world’s third largest economy and one of the biggest food importers, Japan is an attractive market for UK business.  Japan is the UK’s 18th largest export destination for food and drink and with the with the Rugby World Cup being held in Japan this year and the Olympic Games in 2020, there is great opportunity for food and drink companies to showcase their products. Food and drink exports to Japan rose by 5% in Q1 2018, from Q1 2017, to £56.7m

With the potential for British food and drink in Japan very strong, we are pleased to announce the UK exhibitors taking part at Foodex 2019.

FOODEX JAPAN is one of the largest international trade shows in Asia specialising in Food & Drink.  Over 80,000 visitors attend the show to see 3,500 exhibitors from 70 countries & regions. The show takes place in  Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe on 5-8 March and PS8 Ltd are pleased to organize the UK pavilion stand once again.

The UK exhibitors include:

  • Eat Real Snacks - manufacturer of healthier snacks made with innovative ingredients like Hummus, Lentils and Quinoa. All Natural Ingredients
  • AHDB Exports - The team from the UK includes some of the best known and largest red meat  exporters.  All are keen to establish strong and longstanding relationships throughout the country which will be based on mutual understanding and shared benefits.
  • Snack Factory - Scrubby's premium low fat vegetable crisps and a range of lentil, quinoa, hummus chips, variously flavoured snacks.
  • Brown Sugar 1st.al - London & Scottish - With roots in international distribution of London Dry Gin since 1979,they will be introducing their New Organic Chai Spiced Gin at Foodex.
  • Manfood - Premium producer of condiments, pickles, jams and jellies.  We offer gift packs and a retail range.
  • Hinch Distillery - Irish Whiskey and Gin Distillery (under construction) 5 miles south of Belfast - substantial inventory whisky and gin now available.
  • Kent Foods - Luxury food products from Scotland, including handmade  shortbread, Scottish biscuits, jams, marmalades and cake mixes for home baking.
  • Nirvana Brewery - Nirvana Brewery is a UK company dedicated to producing alcohol-free beers, from their award-winning lager to a range of craft ales.
  • Shindig's Crisps - High quality cooked Irish Potato Chips bursting with flavour, GMO and Gluten Free. Branded and Private label business available.
  • Scottish Development International - Scotland, long-famed for the quality of its natural produce, has staked its claim to a seat at the top table
