SIAL Innovation Award for NOVELTEA

We are delighted to announce that first time SIAL China exhibitor, NOVELTEA, won bronze at the SIAL Innovation Awards at this year’s show in May.  Such a great accolade for a new exporter and it means that their products will be showcased in all SIAL exhibitions around the world as well as receiving added media coverage in China.

NOVELTEA makes two delicious innovative alcoholic tea blends.  The Tale of Earl Grey is a homage to their Newcastle roots, made from Earl Grey tea carefully mixed with British Gin - a true embodiment of the British tea culture. The Tale of Tangier is their exotic blend,  green mint tea with botanicals mixed with white Caribbean Rum and offers a twist on traditional Moroccan mint tea. Both tea tales are 11% in strength, are cold brewed, vegan, gluten-free and, crafted in the UK.

The SIAL judges appreciated NOVELTEA as ‘worldwide unique’. NOVELTEA is the first premium alcoholic tea blend that preserves the integrity of the tea without losing in strength or flavour. Their product innovation stands as offering such a unique tasting experience that fits perfectly as an afternoon tea drink, as a gift or even a delicious treat after a long day of work.

Co-founder, Lukas Passia accepted the award in Shanghai and is the driving force in developing the tea brand in China.  We congratulate them on the award and look forward to seeing NOVELTEA in the Innovation Showcase at SIAL Paris in October.
